Gender-Neutral Fashion

This year, I have noticed a huge trend in inclusivity. Whether it be for makeup or clothing, individuals are demanding more from brands. When it comes to the LGBTQ+ community, unisex clothing is almost nowhere to be seen in stores. The fashion industry today in mass form offers baggy streetwear as an alternative for unisex clothing. However, this is not necessarily enough or meets the needs of the LGBTQ+ community.
In catwalks this year, there have been more transgender and non-binary castings since previous years. Although I think it is a positive thing to include everybody, I feel that brands may be using some of these people based on them simply being transgender and non-binary unless they are bringing light to the problems in inclusivity.

A bad example of this is River Island claiming to be inclusive with their '100% Gender free' clothing, however, the model is a transgender woman wearing female clothes. If a brand was gender free, this would suggest they would be unisex.

Another problem existing in the Gender-Neutral fashion industry is how the price point is ridiculously high. In a time where we have more option to live who we really are, young people in the LGBT community may not have the money to even buy the clothes which best represents them. (Official Rebrand) https://www.officialrebrand.com/ also found on https://otherwild.com/ is a great brand for transgender and non-gender people. However, they are at a high price point. http://www.radimo.la/store (Radimo) is one store however, which sells low price products which means anybody can buy them.

Thank you for reading!
